My finals are fucking over! I have nothing else with deadlines to stress about for almost a full month. The feeling is overwhelming. Now I get to do what I've been waiting to do all semester. I credit my good grades to my willpower over myself. I chose not to pleasure read during the semester, a dangerous anti-self move on my part, but it allowed me to focus on school (what little focus I had anyway). I'm ready for snow, hot cocoa, and of course books!

This is a great list that I have been putting together since August. Hopefully I'll get another book for xmas (ahem, Suite Francaise and Satanic Verses) since most of these are short.

Tonight I'll be going out with Matt to Barley's. The wonder of $2 draft night at a place with expensive drafts is too alluring to ignore, especially since I don't have to wake up early tomorrow.

It is now my turn to rant about my stupid stupid car. At the grocery store, buying food cause I'm hungry, and my car won't start. Battery dead. Matt comes to jump it and before I know it, this young guy is hooking his jeep up to my car. There are sparks, there is fire. Turns out this dumb ass put the negative on the positive plug. What an idiot. Finally, the car starts and has been starting since. Tomorrow I get paid, and I get to buy a new battery before I leave for Chattanooga. Supercool!

Guess who is officially declared as a linguistics major?! That's right, it's me. The trick is to bug everyone listed as a "department head" until someone, anyone emails you back. Dr. Leki is going to meet with me and assign an adviser and soon I will be a college graduate. Sounds cool.

Crazy times.

I've gotten a part time job housekeeping for this couple in this really nice house. A friend of Bryan's got the gig for me and so far its pretty sweet. $10/hr for 10 hrs/week. Plus, soon I get a $1 raise. Not too bad.

School starts on wednesday. I've looked over the two syllabi that are already online. I'm pretty excited about my French film class, the only class I have on tuesday/thursday. I can bring friends and its right next to a coffee shop.
My history professor's syllabus kind of makes me want to pee on his face. I've also heard from reliable sources that he's a total d-bag. Maybe I'll get lucky and have a good TA, but I'm not holding my breath.

These past couple weeks I've been going to goodbye parties. Its rather sad that I won't have very many friends in Knoxville soon. But maybe I'll get the chance to make some new ones.
I have, however, gained a fondue set, a cozy chair, and a kitten named Sidd.

I went icon shopping instead!

After feeling guilty about not doing any work on my only long, alone time study day, I decided to watch this because it makes me happy.

I think I hate the mid-west...or I guess I havent given it a chance.

I've got a 3.67 gpa. But, they didnt let me pass astronomy. I got an incomplete. But I did the two lab assignments they claim I didnt do, so I'm gonna talk to somebody about it. It'll drop my gpa, but I need that credit.

Now I'm dressed and as soon as I finish me breakie, I'll leave the house and spend some time. Although, I couldnt think of any errands to run, so I might just start calling people. But I feel its too early for that.

Matt is in town. We put xmas lights on the porch last night. Then we ate chicken.
I'm short on other information. My kitty hasnt left the garland pile since yesterday.

I have been a busy little bunny today. I dont know what the energy is from.
Last night Bryan took me for desert as applebee's. Yummy blondies... Then we saw Tovah; not my favorite way to spend the evening, but shes not with that Mark guy anymore and she has this really awesome apartment and two really cool cats and she keeps the wine coming, so it wasnt so bad this time. Then I had the best night's sleep, woke up around 10 and came home. Then I watched some Gilmore Girls until mom woke up. Shes is a really good mood because Randy is coming over tomorrow and staying the night. I have to make myself scarce for 24 hours. So today is cleaning before company comes. I've already done a large amount. Now I'm going to work on my resume, hopefully finish it, and eat a bit of lunch.
I'm staying in tonight and I'm excited to read, watch a girly movie, and go to bed super early.

So tomorrow I have to get out of the house so mom can have her special time. I was thinking of running a few errands and catching up with a few friends all in one day. I want to see Allie for sure. I want to call Tayler, and if Matt is in town I want to bug him for a while. Then I'm meeting Bryan and the 2nd Dylan at UJ's for hummus before staying with Bryan. I'm glad I have a whole day where I can stay out of the house and not feel like I'm ignoring mother. Relaxing.

Friday Glynis is having a gathering. Bryan and I are going. I'm very social recently. I find that I go through several months of never wanting to be around anyone and then a few months where all I want to do is see people.

Yoko Kitty has fallen in love with the garland we had piled on the table. She sleeps in the middle of it all wrapped up. Shes an xmas kitty.

New Brutalism show was the shit! Everyone was there and Carey rocks my world off its axis causing a catastrophic season change killing every living thing on Earth. Except, I had just talked to little Keely who wanted to go, then Dylan called me and I told him Keely was going. He said he would think about it, so I didnt know he was actually going until I saw him there. Keely was very mad. I hate stupid break ups and I wish everyone would shut the fuck up and get over it. At least long enough to let me be friends with everyone and enjoy the show.
Then this guy who was drunk and staring at me threw a chair on the ground at my feet and then walked away. It was bizarre and hilarious.

Also I finish my finals. I kicked Astronomy's ass. I bet I make a B in Sociology though, oh well, its not like I actually went to class or anything so I guess it was a deserved B. But I have an A in English and French. I expect a C in Astro.
Since the stress is off, I actually slept in until 1pm. That hasnt happened since school started, I'm so relaxed I could piss myself.

Tomorrow Bryan and I are going to the mountains and I'm totally fucking excited because right now its like 65 degrees which means its like 55 in the mountains which is perfect for hiking. We're going to the Chimneys, woot! I havent been there in years.

I finished my astronomy review. I'm ready to make flash cards which only takes a little while, then I'll have until Thursday to review those. My goal is an 80 which is what I got on my midterm, so I think its attainable. I just started my French review which is on Tuesday, I should be fine because French is easy for me. Also, my teacher said she would write me a reference and give it to me on Tuesday. So I want to have all my application stuff done and mailed by Wednesday. If I dont get this internship, I'm going to try to take some summer classes. Next fall I'm going to take a French in business course and reapply for the internship next summer. I have plans, baby, try to stop me! I'm fucking going to France and staying for at least a month, by myself or not.

I've felt like crap all week. I've been having exponentially worse pms every month. And my tension headaches have become almost unbearable. Body problems! Mom says I need to work out. I think I'll do some pilates tomorrow. One day of exercise should be enough, right? For now, I've switched to tea in the pm hours instead of coffee which seems to help the head thing. I want some ice cream.

New rule for me:
I am not going to talk about work outside of work. I am going to have a work day and then a living day; separate. I'm going to do my job and leave it there.
